There’s nothing like stumbling upon a second-hand or vintage treasure. Here we bring you 10 of the best places to do just that

Blush

57 Station Approach, West Byfleet KT14 6NE. Tel: 01932 350955 / blushminerals.co.uk

Customers can find everything under one roof at Blush. Not only does owner Nicola Field-Murphy offer ladies nearly-new and vintage clothing at low prices, she also provides a manicure service.

Designers such as LK Bennett, Gucci and Mulberry can be found alongside vintage fashion designers such as Arabella Pollen. Clothing is stocked by the season so customers can expect to find coats, boots and evening wear this autumn. Vintage fur is heavily stocked in the winter months ranging from decades 1950 to 1980.

Due to popular demand, Blush has also just begun to stock men’s vintage in the form of shirts, jackets and accessories. There is without doubt something for everyone at this boutique.

Designer Exchange

181 London Road, Camberley GU153JS. Tel: 0127621067 / designerexchange.co.uk

Owned by June Bunting, Designer Exchange has been in business for 19 years. With exceptional customer service and an eye for top-end fashion, customers will enjoy browsing and are bound to find something they like.

Designer Exchange stocks a whole host of items from both high street labels and top-end designers. Labels such as Jaeger, LK Bennett and even Caroline Charles are sold at prices to fit most budgets.

Decorated in dusky pink with chandeliers, the décor is ornate and suitably vintage. A large bow window lights the space and adds to the aesthetic. Customers should look out for the Marilyn Monroe pictures hung about the walls.

Fusspott’s

112 Station Road East, Oxted. Tel: 01883 717604 / fusspotts.co.uk

After 35 years of business, Fusspott’s owner, Barbara Wright, has achieved a reputation for providing stunning, high quality designer goods at low prices.

Fusspott’s is a well established boutique that stocks nearly-new designer clothing. All clothing is in impeccable condition and sourced from London-based clients. Only the most exclusive designer labels are stocked, such as Chanel, Christian Louboutin and Gucci. New collections from Hebbeding and Boheme are also available.

Two wonderful bay windows, complete with old-fashioned awnings, make for a very appealing exterior. Fusspott’s provide customers with a truly luxurious shopping experience through a warm welcome and attentive staff.

Gracie’s

56 Lesbourne Road, Reigate. Tel: 01737 222214 / graciesdressagency.com

Gracie’s Dress Agency exudes urban chic with black fixings, metal rails and hard wood flooring, and over the last three years, Jeanine Boobyer has gained a large clientele in Reigate.

Buyers can pick up clothes by designers Tibi, Kooples and Noa Noa to name just a few - not to mention, a great selection of shoes including those by Ash and Hudson.

As most items are sourced from end of line sales, it would be difficult to find anything over two years old. However, Gracie’s certainly boasts a diverse range of stock at fantastic quality and reasonable prices. It is a real challenge not to be tempted by several items in their well-chosen range.

Located in Smithbrook Kilns, New2Vous has a mostly brick interior. There are beamed ceilings with oak shelving and cast iron brackets. A bright red feature wall and antique, cream, shabby chic furniture allows for a true vintage feel.

At present, evening wear designed by the niche brand London Town is on sale. This designer, originating from Mayfair in the 1960s, is famous for its use of heavy satins and velvets.

Customers are likely to find something truly exquisite here for reasonable prices (smaller items start at £20).
