On the green
A Victorian Gothic building with a fine tower and spire, Christ Church in Esher is over 150 years old and located opposite the idyllic Esher Green. Perfect.
Christ Church, Esher (tel: 01372 462282)

The heart of the village
The picture-postcard village of Shere is home to St James Church, which you might recognise from Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, with its quintessentially English Lutyens lychgate.
St James Church, Shere (tel: 01483 203352)

A church of note
Situated in the hamlet of Wotton, St John the Evangelist overlooks a broad sweep of the North Downs and dates back to Saxon times. Of particular note are the unusual carved heads around the porch door.
St John the Evangelist, Wotton (tel: 01306 730285)

Picture perfect
One of the most photographed churches in the county, St Martha-on-the-Hill in Chilworth lies in the middle of a stunning Surrey Wildlife Trust site and offers views of the Surrey Hills.
St Martha-on-the-Hill, Chilworth (tel: 01483 567072)

A little piece of Hollywood
Four Weddings and a Funeral made St Michaels Church in Betchworth famous, although its roots go all the way back to the Domesday Book.
St Michaels, Betchworth (tel: 01737 842102)
