With a new fitness DVD out any day now, its no wonder that model, TV presenter and charity fund-raiser Nell McAndrew can often be found running in the parks around her Richmond home come the weekend. Well, that or cooking a Sunday roast for her husband and six-year-old son, Devon...

I love to be outdoors as much as possible and my favourite thing to do is get out for a run, so having both Bushy Park and Richmond Park close by is fantastic, especially in the lead-up to the marathon. This year, I completed London in a personal best time of two hours and 54 minutes.
Before that, though, Friday evenings are usually spent dashing backwards and forwards to Beavers for my son, so I am more like a taxi driver.
Saturdays are great for trying out a Parkrun, of which I am a huge fan. They are free, weekly, 5km timed runs that happen all over the country and are open to everyone and safe and easy to take part in. The last time I did the Bushy Parkrun, I volunteered to be a pacer. It was great to be able to experience running from a different perspective, encouraging other people all the way round the course. As they are all over the country, its very easy to join in any of them, not just local ones.
I have also run along various parts of the river path along the Thames. I love all around Hampton Court and Kingston Bridge. Its a lovely, very pretty part of the river.
Shopping for food and cleaning need to be squeezed in amongst some quality family time, either at the park or swimming. I dont tend to do clothes shopping on a weekend as thats not much fun for a six-year-old boy!

I also love going to Kew Gardens. I find it a relaxing place to go. Each time we visit, we discover a new little section of it. Ill also pop in to Olivers health food shop in Kew village. They have a brilliant selection of healthy foods including my favourite, chick pea salads by Lauras Idea. For a real treat, a facial or massage with Sue at Gina Hemmings (also in Kew village) is fantastic.
Come the evening, I very rarely go to pubs, as I much prefer a caf to enjoy a nice coffee or hot chocolate and to people-watch. Sundays are swimming again, so this time I do my run early then take my tub of homemade breakfast (Greek natural
yoghurt, blueberries and banana with oat bran). At the moment, I cant resist a pain au chocolat as well after my healthy yoghurt. I enjoy eating it in peace while watching my son do his swimming lesson, glancing at a Sunday paper at the same time.
I much prefer to eat at home so usually prepare dinner myself: lots of vegetables with potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.
My weekends arent particularly wild or exciting but I love them just the way they are!
