TODAY, Wotton House in Dorking confirmed that their inaugral Christmas Family Fun Day had raised 1,286 for the Royal Marsden Children's and Teenager Cancer Centre Appeal.

For one day only, the the beautiful Grade II listed property, formerly the home of the diarist and designer John Evelyn, was transformed into a winter wonderland and over 500 people enjoyed the Santa's Grotto and live reindeers.

"It was a fantastic day and we were delighted that so many people came along to support us and the Royal Marsden." said Caroline Morrone, general manager of Wotton House.

"Although this was the first event of this nature that we have held at Wotton House we will definitely be making it an annual affair - only next time it will be even bigger and better."
