Guildford author Adele Parks strikes film deal with Netflix series producers

Every one of the bestselling author’s 20 novels has been a bestseller
Bestselling Guildford author Adele Parks has signed an exclusive film deal with the producers of a series of hit Netflix franchises.
The deal, struck with producer Brad Krevoy’s MPCA firm and AJ Riach’s UK-based Engage Productions, will see two of Parks’ recent books adpated for screen.
The first will be her Sunday Times bestseller Just My Luck, which comes out in paperback on December 10, followed by her 2019 novel Lies Lies Lies.
Krevroy and Riach are behind a number of successful Netflix shows including The Princess Switch (and this year’s sequel, Switched Again) starring Vanessa Hudgens and Sam Palladio. They are currently producing A Castle For Christmas, starring Brooke Shields and Cary Elwes, for the streaming giant.
“From the moment I met both AJ & Brad and the team at MPCA I knew I found the perfect people to adapt my novels for the screen,” said Adele, who has sold 3.8 million English editions of her 20 books around thw world. “Their brilliant vision, extraordinary energy, and business acumen make me feel confident that they will deliver what my fans have been desperate for, for so long - credible, punchy, entertaining, edge-of-your-seat adaptations. I couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration.”
The trio are currently interviewing writers and plan to launch sales for Just My Luck in the UK immediately, followed by the US.

Audiences will be left terrified and breathless in equal measures.”
