Despite the sub-zero temperatures, award winning artist Mary Branson went ahead with her public art installation Wish Full Thinking in the old Saxon Church of St Peter and Paul at Albury Park, Albury.

Despite the subzero temperatures, award winning artist Mary Branson went ahead with her public art installation Wish Full Thinking in the old Saxon Church of St Peter and Paul at Albury Park, Albury.

Those lucky enough to witness the event were treated to an atmospheric and ethereal scene in this very special sacred space.

Featuring 100,00 white feathers illuminated by powerful ultraviolet lights, the work questions our perceptions of fate, the way we follow omens or use prayers and positive thinking in an attempt to steer our daily lives.

Well known in Surrey for her large scale outdoor works including The Smell Of The Moon at Abbots Hospital, Guildford, in 2009, and Red Tents on The Mount, Guildford, in 2003, Mary is currently looking to interview members of the public who have experienced a life changing moment for her new piece Damascus to be shown in St Georges Church, Esher, in March 2011.

  • If you have a story to tell, and would like to be involved, Mary can be contacted via her website at www.marybranson.co.uk
