Surrey art exhibition of the month: The Winter Exhibition runs at Chalk Hill Contemporary Art, 23 Chantry View Road, Guildford GU1 3XW, from Friday November 12 to Sunday November 28: 01483 440638

MANY dream of the day when they can adorn their home with magnificent works of art, but Annabel Agace goes one step further: she has turned her modernist home into a gallery.

Regularly hosting exhibitions at her house in Guildford, the next one, running from Friday November 12 to Sunday November 28, will feature paintings and prints by leading artist Pamela Scott Wilkie and sculpture by Vanessa Pooley.

This will be the first time that both artists have exhibited together at Chalk Hill Contemporary Art, which provides visitors with a unique opportunity to see how contemporary art can contribute to the home.

I am delighted to be bringing these artists together, having admired both their work for a number of years, says Annabel.

Vanessa Pooleys simple forms of curvaceous women, sometimes incorporating figures of children, are immensely sensual and tactile, while former Walter Sickert student Pamela Scott Wilkie is an internationally respected artist, with work held in the V&A (London) and Rijksmuseum (The Netherlands) collections, among others.

This will be the eleventh exhibition to date at Chalk Hill Contemporary Art, which has already played host to such respected UK artists as Felicity Aylieff, Frank Beanland, Nic Fiddian-Green, Neal French, Tom Hammick, Gary Hume and Sophie Smallhorn.
