The Surrey Artist of the Year competition celebrates the many artists across our county who take part in Surrey Artists Open Studios, and supported by the Baines Charitable Trust, the prize is now in its fourth year.

Votes counted from open studios events across the summer have now been tallied and the top artists will get to showcase their work as a part of this exhibition at the New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham, from Friday September 7 to Saturday October 20.

Here, the public are asked to vote again during the show to choose their overall favourite. The votes counted by visitors, and a selected panel of judges will decide the Surrey Artist of the Year 2012. The winning artist will then be announced at a prize presentation on Friday October 19, and the prize includes a solo exhibition at the New Ashgate Gallery.
