As part of a tour of local Surrey businesses, the Duke of Kent officially opened Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking's newly refurbished The Gallery restaurant on Tuesday February 5.

As part of a tour of local Surrey businesses, the Duke of Kent officially opened Denbies Wine Estate in Dorkings newly refurbished The Gallery restaurant on Tuesday February 5.


Following lunch with local dignitaries, representatives from Betchworth Castle and Denbies Wine Estate, His Royal Highness unveiled a commemorativeplaque in honour of his visit.


We are honoured that His Royal Highness was able to visit the estate during his visit to Surrey, says Christopher White, general manager of Denbies.


The whole team are very proud of the changes that have been made and were particularly pleased to be able to show the restaurant to His Royal Highness, including lunch which comprised of locally sourced produce.


With unrivalled views over the 265 acre vineyard, The Gallery Restaurant has undergone a complete refurbishment in past six months and now offers a more extensive menu.
