With the C word having barely been deemed acceptable for another year, Garsons Farm in Esher threw open its doors for the Princess Alice Hospice to host one of the first Christmas Fairs of the Surrey festive season.

Hundreds of shoppers and hospice supporters avoided the Christmas rush when they joined Gill Shaw, Pam Edwards and the Friends of Princess Alice Hospice last week. This years event made 6,390.

Another early festive event being held by the Friends is their annual Christmas Craft Fair at the hospice on West End Lane. It takes place on Saturday November 14, from 10am to 3pm, and entry is only 1, including a welcoming hot drink.
