Archant

It seems that almost everywhere you go at the moment in Surrey, you’re just a short diversion away from stumbling across a film star or movie set.

Perhaps the most spectacular recently was this unusual scene at Virginia Water Lake, pictured above. A steamboat dubbed ‘Adelaar’ popped up there, as the stars of the latest Warner Bros blockbuster, Tarzan: The Untamed, headed to the Surrey beauty spot.

Meanwhile, scenes for the forthcoming biopic, The Man Who Knew Infinity, starring Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons, were filmed at Loseley Park near Guildford, and Disney’s Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass set up at Shepperton Studios, with occasional jaunts into the countryside that led to Johnny Depp being spotted in East Horsley.
