Reversing the science of skiing, the third Surbiton Ski Sunday will once again see brave souls attaching blocks of ice to their feet to take to the sloping streets of Surbiton on Sunday October 16.

In the past two years, nearly 100 people havethrown themselves down theslope to raisemoney for the Shooting Star CHASE childrens hospice.

The course will be on the traditional slope of St Marks Hill, by the railway station, with the length set at the official Suburban Skiing maximum of a Springle (or 21 metres) - this ensures that new World Records can be validated.

  • Surbiton Ski Sunday will take place between 11am and 1pm and is part of Seething Sunday. It is followed by The Kings Soup a community celebration - at 1.30 to 4pm. To register to take part or to find out more visit www.seethingwells.org or email suburbanskiing@yahoo.co.uk.
