Organised by the Environment Trust for Richmond upon Thames, the theme of this years event, held at Duke Street Baptist Church, was Predators and the Beastly History of Natural Selection.

Afterwards, the much-loved broadcaster, who lives just around the corner from the venue, signed copies of his many books and took time to chat to young fans.

Other speakers at the event included Joe Pecorelli of the Environment Trust for Richmond upon Thames, Rolf Williams of the RSPB and Professor David Houston from Glasgow University.
