A sumptuous evening of champagne, dinner and dancing to a live band, the Richmond May Fair Ball is a highlight of Richmond’s social calendar and this year takes place on Friday May 9.
Held in a beautifully lit marquee on Richmond Green, this charity ball is a sell-out every year and draws a mixture of celebrated local figures and generous guests from nearby and further afield.
Ball proceeds for 2014 will be shared between two very deserving local causes - The Victoria Foundation and the Orange Tree Theatre’s Community and Education Programme.
The Victoria Foundation provides life enhancing medical support to those in need in the local and wider community. This includes mobility aids for children, accessible transport vehicles, bursaries and toolkit grants for students studying in the field of medicine, and medical treatment when it is not readily available.
The second beneficiary, Richmond’s very own renowned Orange Tree Theatre, provides an exceptional variety of workshops and quality projects throughout the year for children both from the Borough and across the country including those from deprived backgrounds. On average, every year nearly 20,000 young and elderly people benefit from the theatre’s exciting Community and Education programme.
The strictly limited ‘all-in’ tickets at £125 per person include a Champagne reception, a gourmet four-course dinner with wine and dancing to a live band.
