TV presenter Amanda Lamb cut the ribbon as The Stone Gallery, which is part of the Art of Living group in Camberley, officially opened for business with a wartime-themed launch.
The warehouse, which houses the new showroom, was used as a factory during World War Two, putting the finishing touches to aircraft like the Spitfire and, as such, has been dedicated to all those who designed, built, maintained and flew in this iconic fighter plane.
Highlights of the evening included a performance by 1940s tribute act, the Swingtime Sweethearts, as well as the chance to taste some culinary delights from this era. One lucky customer even won a Spitfire flying experience!
For the last five years, The Stone Gallerys tiny showroom has been squeezed between the kitchen and bathroom showrooms of Park Street Interiors, and the new dedicated showroom now demonstrates the timeless elegance of natural stone in all its glory.
