Europes largest private mint, the Pobjoy Mint produces commemorative coins for special occasions (Jubilees, Olympics etc), among other items. In 2007, Margaret Thatcher witnessed the striking of a Falkland Islands anniversary coin there.
This isnt the BBC
The grand Gothic mansion Kingswood Warren housed the BBCs research and development departments for many years, with HDTV, Nicam digital stereo and teletext developed there. Also a finishing school during its time, the complex has since been transformed by luxury property developer, Octagon.
In the 1800s, Lord of the Manor, Thomas Alcock, set about making the Warren a country seat worthy of his position and providing the inhabitants of Kingswood, who still had a six-mile walk to Ewell to attend church, with their own place of worship.
Kingswood Amateur Drama and Dance Society started in 1980 and perform regularly at the village hall with all profits given to the Kingswood Village Community Association.

Kingswood Golf and Country Club, which was designed in the 1920s by the five times open champion, James Braid. The course is open to visiting golfers as well as the members.
