We have been hard at work through the winter to ensure that the GBF in 2012 is even better than last year, says festival organiser Chad Murrin. We are, however, keeping the focus on beers from independent and micro breweries in Surrey and the surrounding counties.
Award-winning British beer writer and journalist Adrian Tierney-Jones, author of the best-selling 1001 Beers: You Must Try Before You Die, will be on hand to get the festival under way at the opening session on the Friday evening.
The festival will also take advantage of Guildfords vibrant music scene this year, teaming up with Andertons Music, The Boileroom and the Academy of Contemporary Music to put together music across the two days.
Highlights include the acoustic blues of The Martin Harley Band and acoustic guitar duo Butcher & Taylor, which features former Surrey and England cricketer Mark Butcher.
- Tickets for the festival, hosted by the Guildford Cricket Club, are on sale now at 7 per person per session, from www.guildfordcc.com or at Guildford Tourist Information Office.
