For more than 300 years, eating and drinking has played an essential part in the enjoyment of the Ascot experience. The racecourse aims to match the excitement on course with a range of exclusive and delicious dining options with a choice of à la carte menus or local cuisine. The innovative menus are set in outstanding facilities whether it is fine dining or a more relaxed option, such as a casual three-course lunch, self-service or a traditional afternoon tea; there is something for everyone.
Guests looking for a truly memorable day can select from a variety of locations boasting prime position vantage points around the course, attentive service, exquisite food and carefully chosen wines.
The Parade Ring, for example, is described as the ‘jewel in the crown’ and boasts the creative flair of award-winning chef Steve Golding. The Old Paddock is more intimate, providing the first glimpse of the magnificent horses in the Pre-Parade Ring and Saddling Boxes.
Vistas don’t come much better than those of the Panoramic Restaurant, situated at the top of the Grandstand. It has a private balcony and roof terrace from which to watch the action, as well as freshly prepared menus and outstanding service.
The Pavilion combines heritage with elegance and offers racegoers delicious menus, a lively atmosphere and sweeping views across the Plaza Lawns.
The Ascot Marquee is situated to the west of the Grandstand and houses the Bessborough, Carriages and Sandringham Restaurants. This unique triple-decker venue is open for racing and private hire throughout June and July.
There are a range of other facilities to cater for larger groups or those perhaps wanting more of a personal experience. For example, The Windsor Forest Restaurant caters for groups up to 70 and is an intimate dining room offering consummate service with a four-course luncheon, afternoon tea and complementary wines selected by Ascot’s Cellar Master.
Alternatively, racegoers can choose from a range of Private Chalets with balconies overlooking the track that can facilitate groups of 30, 50 or 80. They are located on the first and second floor of the luxurious Ascot Marquee.
Ascot also has 247 Private Boxes with breathtaking views on all levels of the Grandstand. They can hold between 10 and 108 people and consist of a private dining room, with dedicated waiting staff and delicious menus, private bar and balcony. A box at Ascot is an intimate and memorable way to enjoy a day at the races – perfect for entertaining colleagues and clients or friends and family.
If you are looking to impress clients, host a business event or celebrate a special occasion, Ascot’s stunning surroundings are the perfect backdrop. There are 26 racedays throughout the year to entertain clients and/or staff with world-class racing, while our facilities are available for hire throughout the year for a variety of different purposes, including conferences, banqueting, exhibitions, dinner dances, product launches and weddings.
