Having sold over 40 million copies worldwide, EL James Fifty Shades of Grey and the resulting series has broken records and brought sex firmly into the mainstream, but theres nothing new about erotic fiction.

Sappho was penning erotic verse in the 6th century BC and erotica has featured in a wide range of literature, from Casanovas memoirs to Les Liaisons dangereuses via Anas Nin and The Story of O.

So who are the women who write erotic fiction today? You might be surprised...

On Wednesday October 24, 9pm, Jane Wenham-Jones talks to Hazel Cushion, managing director of the UKs largest erotic publishing company, Xcite Books; Liz Coldwell, former editor of Forum magazine and one of the co-founders of the Guild of Erotic Authors; and steamy authors KD Grace and Della Galton at The Electric Theatre caf bar, Guildford.

Della is also running a How to write Erotic festival workshop earlier on the same day at The Electric Theatre, 2pm to 4pm.
