This week Gatwick unveiled a new campaign - Gatwick Obviously – as it steps up its case for expansion instead of a third runway at Heathrow.
As part of the initiative, architect Sir Terry Farrell claims that an expanded Gatwick would have an ‘Olympic scale’ effect across South London and the wider metropolitan region.
The Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign, a voluntary association founded in 1968, continues to oppose any plans for a new runway.
