A wonderful charity evening of music and dance hosted by BBC newsreader Nicholas Owen took place at Woldingham School on Friday September 14.

The fundraising event for St Catherines Hospice raised 6,000 and featured performances from the award-winning womens barbershop chorus Surrey Harmony, Britains Got Talent stars The Celtic Colleens, classical flautist Julie Groves, opera singer Elizabeth Karani, Saxophonist Stephanie Lai and the Legat School of Dance.

St Catherines plays such an important role in this area and makes a very real difference to the lives of so many people, said Nicholas Owen.

I am delighted to have shown my support by hosting this special concert which raised vital funds for the care they provide to local people when its needed most.

St Catherines Hospice provides care for people across East Surrey and Mid Sussex. More information @ www.stch.org.uk.
