Founded in 1985, Eshers Princess Alice Hospice celebrated 25 years of providing vital end of life care across the area with a special thanksgiving service at Guildford Cathedral.

Among the 600 guests at the ceremony was hospice vice president and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? host Chris Tarrant, who joined supporters, staff and volunteers from the charity both past and present.

Organised by Jane Formby, a trustee since 1983, along with hospice chaplain Rev Steve Nolan and a small committee, the service was also attended by the hospices first ever employee, Jean Deane.
