4 fantastic events to celebrate Burns Night in Surrey

January 25 marks Burns Night; an evening celebration of the great late Scottish poet Robert Burns. Many venues in Surrey will be hosting an array of celebrations to mark this cultural tradition, with more than enough haggis to go around. We pick our top events taking place in 2018
Wey Kayak Club, Guildford - Friday 25 January
At the tartan themed venue, the bar will serve warming beverages, wines and beers before you sit down to a three course traditional Scottish dinner. Locally sourced salmon will be followed by neeps and tatties and a light dessert. 7 piece Croydon based Kingsfolk Celtic Group will be providing the Ceilidh. From 7pm.
Denbies Wine Estate - Saturday 26 January
On the Saturday, Denbies will be opening its doors for their annual Burns Night celebration. Sparkling wine will be served on arrival, followed by a lavish four-course meal including haggis, neeps and tatties. Entertainment will be on offer throughout.
Reigate Manor - Saturday 26 January
The decorated Georgian manor house will be celebrating the life and times of Robert Burns with a dedicated Burns Night celebration on the Saturday following Burns Night. Tickets are available at £32 per person and include a delicious four-course meal, a traditional parade, a late night disco going into the wee hours and an address to the dish itself; the haggis. If you fancy a whiskey or two, bed and breakfast option is available at just £109 per couple.
Burrows Lea Country House, Shere - Saturday 26 January
Nestled within the beautiful heart of the Surrey Hills, this charming estate house will be hosting a Burns Night celebration where guests can expect an evening of authentic Scottish dishes, whimsical highland music and traditional dancing. Tickets cost £35 per head.
