With much of the UKs racing being cancelled due to the icy weather, the spotlight turns to all-weather racing events like Lingfield Parks Blue Square Sprint Series.

Introduced last year, the series takes the form of a six furlong sprint race run on every Saturday in January and February and reaches its finale on Saturday February 25.

The Sprint Series Grand Prix style points system is a concept that everyone understands so it appeals to those who are new to the sport, says director of racing operations, Neil Mackenzie Ross.

Points are awarded according to the finishing places and those horses who finish at the top of leader board after the seven qualifying rounds are invited to compete at the final for a share of 15,000.

  • Tickets are available now for the final on Saturday February 25, for further information call contact 01342 834800 or visit www.lingfieldpark.co.uk.
