Is it any wonder Surrey is one of the most popular places for a weekend retreat?

We’ve got lots of cosy pubs

… to rest in after walking the North Downs Way.

From red-bricked cottages…

to waterside dwellings…

… the houses here are lovely.

We’re a sporty bunch with a passion for rowing the Thames,

anything equestrian related…

and cycling. Any avid cyclist in Surrey has taken the Box Hill Olympic Cycle Route

… with an essential pit stop at the top!

We like to take trips to Denbies Wine Estate

for an educational tasting session of course…

In fact, we’re chief tasters here in Surrey. From afternoon teas in Reigate…

and cocktails in Guildford,

to fresh produce from the market in Epsom. We’ve sampled it all.

You’ll find so much history in Surrey. There are the beautiful cobbled streets of Guildford,

the grandeur of Hampton Court Palace,

and the mysterious ruins of Waverley Abbey – to name a few.

And from Leith Hill Tower,

to Ranmore Common,

the Surrey Hills provide some of the most spectacular views in the UK.

And the River Wey is rather nice too!

Bonfire night is our speciality.

We’ve got some super quirky traditions such as wife carrying in Dorking…

… and pram racing in Oxted.

And Dorking has one of the weirdest roundabouts in the UK!

We’re only a short journey from the capital…

… so come and blend in with the locals.
