A new exhibition from award-winning contemporary French artist Eric Bourse, his first in the UK for two years, celebrates 30 years of work at a new living gallery in West Clandon.
From Wednesday November 28 to Saturday December 8, Surrey art gallerist Kit Bentley will open the ground floor of her home, Pound, in West Clandon to become a living gallery for the exhibition.
It brings together a collection of 40 new paintings in acrylic, inspired by the ever changing seasons and altering light and atmosphere of the landscapes the artist calls home river life along the Dordogne and the mountain tranquillity of the Haute Savoie in the French Alps.
The contrasting palettes of these landscapes and Erics bold use of colour and generous layering of acrylic bring these regions to life with vitality, motion and emotion.
Showing alongside Erics work will be 15 limited edition bronze figurative pieces by French sculptor Xavier Colin, who last exhibited in the UK in 2003.
With a reputation of being one of todays most prolific young sculptors Xaviers work captures essential gestures of the human form.
