Christmas in the Surrey Hills wouldn't be complete without a fantastic evening of festive song and this year you can look forward to two evenings of wonderful music from the Surrey Hills Singing School.

Home for Christmas is a concert at Cranleigh Village Hall on Saturday December 7, 7pm, where you can expect an unforgettable performance of Frosty the Snowman from the little ones of the Surrey Hills Training Choir, plus arrangements of Cole Porter and Taylor Swift hits from the Surrey Hills Young Voices and the Glebelands choir.

The young choirs are joined by award-winners at Godalming Festival 2012, the Surrey Hills Singers, and reigning Adult Choir of the Year, the Surrey Hills Chamber Choir, both of whom promise an exciting programme of music.

Then, on Sunday December 8, 8pm, in an atmospheric candlelit concert at St Nicolas in Guildford, the Surrey Hills Singers and Surrey Hills Chamber Choir prepare to do it all again – and more, with stunning soloist performances from soprano Carol Foussat and bass Mike Winterbotham, plus other Christmas favourites such as Adam lay y bounden.

So whether you fancy child-friendly festivities in the pretty village of Cranleigh or an evening of winter wonder in the atmospheric setting of St Nicholas church in Guildford, Surrey Hills has the perfect musical occasion to get you in the mood for Christmas.

• Tickets for each event are £10 for adults and £4 for children, available from Guildford Tourist Office or online at www.surreyhills-choirs.co.uk/tickets. Alternatively you can call 01483 892474 or e-mail tickets@surreyhills-choirs.co.uk.
