From Tom Cruise to Alice Cooper, many of the world’s most famous stars have tested their motoring mettle on a small strip of tarmac near Cranleigh – and now it’s your turn.
Launching at the end of August, the Top Gear Track Experience will give people the chance to enter the world of Top Gear and see what it’s like to be Jeremy, James and Richard, minus the flowery shirts and messy hair.
Based at the Surrey home of the TV show at Dunsfold Park, guests will get the chance to become the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car and aim to earn their own place on the famous leaderboard.
They’ll see how the Follow Through earned its name, how an Ariel Atom can reshape facial features and even be able to experience a lap with the show’s tame racing driver, The Stig.
When the driving’s done, visitors to this new Surrey attraction will be able to hang around the replica Top Gear telly studio, complete with Cool Wall, displays of cars used on the show, and – of course – the presenters’ chairs.
