What are the key trends you expect to see in Surrey in the coming months?
Family-focused houses with good sized gardens are in great demand, due to families making a lifestyle move out of London for schools and a bit more greenery. A lot more property is now coming to the market, so buyers have more choice and are able to push sellers a bit harder on price. There will also be demand from international buyers who want to secure a property in the UK. Last year, all our sales in St Georges Hill went to families from overseas.


What excites you most about the area you currently work?
Weybridge offers the best of both worlds; it is a commuter friendly
25-minute drive or train journey to central London and yet it is surrounded by countryside. You can enjoy country pursuits, such as horse riding and shooting, and still get to the West End to watch the latest play or film premier in the evening.


Are their bargains still to be found in Surrey?
Yes, once you get beyond Guildford and the main train line, some of the further out Surrey locations offer great value for money. When you look at the commuter corridor, there is a strong demand for good family houses and where London leads, Surrey follows.


What would be your top tip for someone thinking about moving house?
Do your research and become an expert in the price range you are looking at. See as many houses as you possibly can in the area you want to buy to get a feel of what is good value for money. Also, while it is useful to look online, it is far better to become memorable to your agent that way you can hear about what comes to the market first and they are more likely to ring you when they get a new instruction.
