Are there any key trends you expect to see in 2011?
Good quality, neutrally decorated property will attract good calibre tenants, who are prepared to pay a little higher than normal. This can be supplied by the high level of new developments in the area, which we are finding are highly energy efficient and eco-friendly. This is also becoming very popular with prospective tenants, as not only are they living in a modern property, outgoings will also be cheaper and carbon footprints smaller!

Tell us what excites you most about the area you work in?
My personal attraction is that within 40 minutes of being in the hustle and bustle of London, you can then relax in the beautiful countryside of Surrey in a charming local pub.

Are there bargains still to be found in Surrey?
Rental prices have remained consistently strong over the past few years, seeing a slight increase year-on-year. A recent report showed more high-end properties entering the market for rental as well.

What is your favourite property related anecdote?
At a check-in that my colleague recently attended, the tenants toddler was exploring the flat whilst they were going through the inventory. After a few minutes, they couldnt here the childs footsteps, just a muffled whimper. The child had put his head down the toilet and got it stuck!
