Now, with the opening of her new gallery in Ripley, near Woking, she is bringing the inspirational beauty of her work direct to a South East audience.

The Ripley gallery, which saw its grand opening event this March, is brimming with all of Jo’s best loved ranges. Her distinctive, handmade giftware includes gorgeous glass hangings, bowls, mirrors, coasters and seasonal gifts alongside statement interior pieces such as wall panels, art frames and multi piece installations.

Jo is also well known for her stunning architectural and interior projects. She has created hundreds of private commissions for homes and businesses around the world and visitors to Jo Downs Handmade Glass Ripley will be able to discuss and arrange their own unique commissions with the gallery’s knowledgeable staff.

And if you have ever wanted to try your hand at glass fusing, you will be pleased to learn that Jo Downs Handmade Glass Ripley are holding regular workshops and one day courses.

During their fun, family-friendly one hour workshops you can watch a professional demonstration before making your own fused glass piece, and on their comprehensive one day courses you can learn the basics of glass fusing, with lunch provided at one of the local eateries in Ripley.

Hourly workshops are free to attend but a charge will be made for the type and size of piece you choose to make. One day courses cost £150 per place including lunch.

This spring also sees the launch of Jo Downs’ Glass Leaves collections, a beautiful brand new range of handmade fused glass pieces for the 2015 season.

Available in both ‘Spring’ and ‘Autumn’ colourways, Jo Downs Glass Leaves are designed in either her six piece ‘Drift’, sixteen piece ‘Windfall’ or twenty-nine piece ‘Cascade’ collections.

Simple to wall mount in whatever combination suits your living space, these beautifully made installations of handcrafted leaves will bring a touch of nature inspired elegance to your home.

To celebrate the launch of Glass Leaves, Jo is offering customers the chance to WIN a stunning sixteen piece Spring Windfall collection worth £750! You can enter the free draw when you buy any Jo Downs item at her Ripley gallery or online at during Whitweek from Saturday May 23 to Sunday May 31. The winner will be drawn on Friday June 5 and notified by e-mail.
