Established now for several years, The Wine Circle is an independent wine and spirit merchant in Virginia Water with a restaurant, bar, deli and fromagerie attached.


The shop holds over 400 carefully selected wines from all over the world including fine and rare wines, as well as premium spirits, special ales, liqueurs, Riedel glassware, Cuban cigars and more.


The Wine Circle specialises in corporate and other special occasion gifts and can deliver worldwide. Hampers can be made to order and include fine foods and wines and other goodies from its range of special chutneys, spiced jellies, organic and herbal teas, artisan cheeses, olives, Belgian chocolates and much more.


The company holds regular wine tasting dinners, masterclasses and other food and beverage related events with speakers from around the world. Regular Saturday tastings are held in the shop and anyone is welcome to go along. Private wine tasting dinners and masterclasses can be arranged to suit individual requirements.


In the run up to Christmas the Company has a number of events planned including two Riedel masterclasses, several wine tasting dinners, wine related quiz nights with full screen presentation and ending with the Christmas wine tasting dinner. The events are extremely popular and customers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.

The restaurant specialises in modern Mediterranean cuisine and is open throughout the day and evening. The day starts with breakfast or coffee and Danish and moves into a busy bustling lunch service. Late lunches or cream teas follow and then into early suppers and finally dinner with last orders at 10pm.


The menu is extensive with a shared plates concept comprising of some 30 small platters from around the Mediterranean that may be had as individual starters or a selection of plates to share. Main courses include fresh fish brought in daily, select meats direct from prize farms and a steak section including 16oz US Grain fed rib eye and the legendary Wagyu steaks (Kobe Beef). Specials are changed weekly and special set menus also change weekly which offer dishes prepared from fresh produce brought in daily at great value.


Tours to European wineries are organised each year with the next trip planned in October to a winery in the heart of Tuscany. Members will stay at an 11th century abbey which has been beautifully restored and experience historic tastings as well as current vintages. Olive oil tastings from the winerys olive groves, visits to the state of the art winery, visits to the vineyards and take part in the wineries cooking school learning how to cook two Italian dishes. These are non-profit making trips and are designed to serve the The Wine Circles huge client list.
