Surrey rose beats French and American rivals at the International Wine Challenge

Out of 367 different bottles of still rosé submitted from 21 countries, Denbies Wine Estate's Chalk Ridge Rosé 2010 was the only one awarded gold at this year's International Wine Challenge.

Out of 367 different bottles of still ros submitted from 21 countries, Denbies Wine Estates Chalk Ridge Ros 2010 was the only one awarded gold at this years International Wine Challenge.


Widely regarded as the most important of the many international wine competitions, this represents another milestone for Englands largest vineyard, which has, in recent years, made significant progress in developing their premium still range of wines.


The Chalk Ridge Ros is 100% Rondo, a red skinned grape, early ripening with a depth of colour, suited to the English climate and grown on the Dorking estate since 2005.Only 7,000 bottles have been produced.
