What?
The original beer and alehouse in Effingham, where we now find The Plough, was started when a local couple diversified their grocery business around the mid 19th century. These days, this traditional pub is hugely respected for its food output with a very loyal following.

Where?
Handy for Polesden Lacey in Great Bookham and the Lovelace Bridges in East Horsley, The Plough has been a well-kept secret for a number of years because of its secluded location on a non-through road. It is well worth the trip, although a Sat Nav or map reader is a must!

Why?
Delicious fresh food offerings with no dishes over 15; fresh herbs and fruit trees in the garden; wine lists compiled by owners with a personal interest; and a friendly and comfortable environment to dine or drink. Need we say more?
