Here we were looking for food led initiatives that aim to inspire their local communities

And the winner is…

Dorking Food Float, Dorking

Judge Carrie White says:

“The Dorking Food Float epitomises food and drink services to the community. From the original seed of an idea, Tim has nurtured a thriving business that serves Dorking and the surrounding communities admirably. The volunteers are friendly, efficient and well informed and the range of local produce is broad - and of a high quality. A delivery service is an additional string to the bow. I was really impressed by all three of the finalists but in terms of specific food and drink services to the community there was one clear winner.”

Highly commended:

The Grange Centre, Great Bookham

Hambledon Village Shop, Hambledon

Services to the Community is sponsored by Charles Russell Speechlys
