Your best-seller? Shere Drop. It’s got a great balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. At 4.2%, it’s at a strength popular with cask beer drinkers and is named after a much-loved village.
Your personal fave? Ranmore. I love golden session beers. Ranmore has a lot of hop character, but remains a very quaffable beer.
Your most unique? I don’t specifically look for uniquity. Our raison d’etre is to produce beers that people in the Surrey Hills area enjoy. We do, however, collaborate with Cobbetts beer shop and micropub in Dorking to produce a beer called Collusion. The hop combination changes in each version.
One you wish was yours… I love drinking beers brewed by someone else, but never wish I had come up with them. Beer is a very personal thing.
What’s next stage for your brewery? Keep supplying the local beer drinkers with beer that they enjoy. As their tastes change, we will adapt to ensure we continue to supply what they want.
Finally, where’s the best place for people to try your beer? There are many great pubs locally that stock our beers. It would be unfair to single one out. You can visit the brewery to drink a pint of fresh beer straight from the cask or buy some to take home, of course.
