Award winning restaurant, The French Table showcases contemporary French cooking in a chic yet comfortable setting, perfect for special occasions.
Guided by the seasons, the menus are prepared from scratch by head chef Eric Guignard and his skilled team, together with an exceptional wine list. Top service and beautifully simple décor matched with a wealth of home-from-home touches make The French Table a must-visit culinary gem.
Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, chef patron Eric Guignard takes inspiration from his French roots where diners can choose from a range of dishes full of flavour and character; a delicate mille-feuille of parmesan, white asparagus, frisée, duck egg yolk and white asparagus froth; a hearty Huntsham Farm 55 day aged middle white pig with apple purée, pomme darphin and calvados sauce; and for those with a sweet tooth, not forgetting the indulgent chocolate and rosemary slice with olive oil snow and white chocolate ginger ice-cream.
A family run business, Eric Guignard and his wife Sarah, opened The French Table 16 years ago and have worked tirelessly to cement their excellent reputation. Since opening, the restaurant has been awarded a string of accolades, including Chef of the Year in the Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards 2016, Restaurant of the Year in the Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards 2015, AA Notable Wine List 2016-2017, Squaremeal Best Restaurants 2016, Open Table Top 10 Best Restaurants in the UK 2016 and Harden’s Guide 2017.
With great food always comes great wine. Sarah devises the wine list and is the head sommelier at The French Table. Initially discovering her passion for wine while at catering college, Sarah built on her experience at The Greenhouse in Mayfair, before moving to Domaine des Hauts de Loire in France. The couple met when they joined forces at The White Onion in Islington, 1997 and the rest, as they say, is history!
