A historical town with modern-day ambitions, Woking is home to a number of very good restaurants. We round up some of the best places to eat
Exotic Lebanese flavours are on offer at this Church Path eatery which is open every day (varying times). Main courses include lahem meshwi (charcoal-grilled cubes of lamb with rice), shish taouk (chicken cubes) and plenty more.

Another Lebanese restaurant, this time in the form of the highly rated Beit Beirut. Having opened in 2019, an amazing atmosphere is on offer, with the menu including cold and hot mezza dishes, salads and a varied main menu.

Perfect for a pre-gallery peruse meal, The Lightbox's Seasons Café & Kitchen combine restaurant-quality dining with simple favourites. In the summer months sit outside in the canal-side courtyard.

A sophisticated wine bar, Cellar Magneval is one of the best places in Woking for a beverage. But they also do some delightful food, so we couldn't leave them out! Sharing platters include cheese & charcuterie, cheese & antipasti, crudité and aperitif. They also serve a number of sandwiches at lunch time.

Starting as just a food truck in Woking town centre, Araceli's now have their own premises and serve lunch and dinner to those craving authentic Mexican cuisine. Enjoy burritos, tacos, quesadillas and more. Be sure to try the Zaca Zaca house hot sauce… if you can handle it!

Following a renovation in 2015, the Bird in Hand offers a great selection of grub. The evening menu includes the 'Bird in Hand Burgers' with fillings ranging from beef and pork to chicken and stacked vegetables.
