More than 2,000 people from all over Surrey voted in the competition to decide which restaurant would claim the title of Curry of the Year 2014. It was decided by the public in an overwhelming vote that Rays Indian certainly deserved the title. They have been awarded a spicy 4 out of 5 star on Trip Adviser and also won the Trip Adviser Excellence Award 2014/2015.

So what makes them different to all the other Indian restaurants in Surrey? The answer is simple; the real Indian street food. They have all the regular classics but their menu is varied and distinctive. It is a fine dining Indian restaurant which serves exciting and unique dishes which you may have never tasted before.

Ray and Shoba Aziz travelled through India to bring you traditional Indian street food. Having combined talents of specialist chefs, guests are presented with a exciting and unique variety of delicious cuisines. The menu is influenced by marrying exotic spices from all regions of India and the flavours are mixed with influences of Asia and Africa. Ray ensures that each of his dishes are balanced, creative and have their own individuality.

Rays Indian continue to surprise their customers with new and exciting dishes. They have recently launched their new menu which showcases dishes from Burma, Goa, Kerala and Shimla. They have also started serving the famous south Indian street food dish Masala Dosa. Also new for 2015 is their online ordering service and home delivery. Visit their website www.raysindian.com for more information.

RaysIndian has supported and hosted many charity events over the years, the most successful being the Halloween breast cancer fundraiser where they raised a total of £1600.

This year they are in the running for the Surrey Life Food and Drink Awards 2015. They will be going ahead to head with some of the most prestigious restaurants and chefs in and around Surrey. You can nominate them online at foodawards.surreylife.co.uk/enter-online/ or pick up a form in the restaurant.
