Oxted Food and Drink Festival celebrates street food

If you know where to look, you can find exciting and innovative food and drink being served from tuk tuk’s, camper vans and carts across Britain – and now Oxted is set to join the street food revolution.
The inaugural Oxted Food and Drink Festival, on Saturday June 21, will offer tasty Thai food served from a tuk tuk, surf and turf wraps delivered from a vintage airstream bus, cocktails and ice cream from a camper van, and more.
“Oxted is a beautiful pocket of the Surrey Hills countryside but many residents miss the opportunity to sample the wonderful and exotic foods from the metropolis,” says organiser Kiera Roche.
“The festival was conceived to bring the smells and tastes of the city streets to the countryside, whilst also celebrating the best local produce –who’d have known that there was a gin company just up the road?”
Localising the occasion further will be the likes of Tony Tobin from The Dining Room in Reigate, The Green Rooms of Godstone, Café Papillon of Oxted and Old Oxted pub The Crown.
