While researching for his latest Channel 4 programme, celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal sampled the curries at the award-winning Indian restaurant Le Raj in Epsom.
Owner Enam Ali says that, true to the spirit of Heston’s Great British Food, Blumenthal plans to create his own “unusual combination”.
Founder of the British Curry Awards, which were attended by Prime Minister David Cameron in 2013, Enam has played a major part in Indian cuisine now being listed alongside the finest dining in the top UK foodie guides.
His restaurant prides itself on its “rebirth” of Chicken Tikka Masala, using beetroot to create natural flavouring and colour.
