Silent Pool Gin, Albury

We are a young business and we’re thrilled that we’ve made it through as a finalist. When we set out to make a fantastic gin in the Surrey Hills, we believed there was a huge local fan base for gin, and us getting to the finals proves that is true. Without all of the gin fans that have sampled and bought Silent Pool Gin and our other products voting for us, we wouldn’t be here. This is the start of our journey so watch out for more exciting and innovative products and remember you’re always welcome to drop in if you’re passing.

Surrey Spice, Guildford

As Surrey Spice has been going for less than six months, being nominated for this award alongside larger established brands is a testament to all the hard work of the past few months. Our supper clubs and catering offer an amazing foodie (and social) experience where you undertake a culinary voyage of discovery around India. The food you get is completely unique to anything available in Surrey and indeed the most of the UK being themed by season, region or festival. It is the kind of food made by mums, grand mums and other experts using family recipes that have remained unchanged over generations.

The Tinderbox, Reigate

Just being voted for was a huge relief, as when we set out on our unconventional culinary adventure everyone thought we were nuts. To have our achievements acknowledged by such a lovely (and seemingly normal!) bunch of people confirms that the Tinderbox was a good idea. The Tinderbox is unique, bespoke built by one man who had no idea if it would work but saw something in us that pushed him to give it his all. We strive to deliver pure wood oven cooking with the same love and attention it took to build her.
