With 265 acres of vines set in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking is England’s largest vineyard.

Denbies is one of the first wine estates in the world to give visitors of all ages a unique and fascinating insight into all aspects of the wine producing process.

Indoor wine tour experiences are available all year round, including 360⁰ cinema detailing the history and geology of the estate, tours through the working winery and cellar wine tasting.

The seasonal outdoor vineyard tour from March to November takes visitors at a leisurely pace to the highest point of the vineyard, overlooking Box Hill and the North Downs. Perfect for photo opportunities.

The flint-clad Chateau-style visitor centre hosts two restaurants: the indoor self service Conservatory and the third floor a la carte Gallery Restaurant.

The latter has unrivalled views over the vineyard and, in the past year, has undergone a complete refurbishment: the floor has been levelled to create a more spacious relaxed environment and take maximum advantage of the Surrey Hills views.

The restaurant has a warm contemporary look offering a greater dining experience for customers.

Family owned and run, Denbies mission is to provide delicious food and local products sourced primarily from the south-east region.

The vineyard strives at all times to work in partnership with local growers and suppliers, using free range and farm assured produce that is ethical and sustainable.

As well as the tours and restaurants, there is a diversely stocked wine and gift shop, art gallery showcasing local artists on a monthly basis, Village Greens Farm Shop and Surrey Hills Brewery on-site.

For those who don’t want to leave, Denbies Farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation (English Tourist Board 4 star silver) is located in the heart of the vineyard.

• Denbies Wine Estate, London Road, Dorking, Surrey RH5 6AA has a range of 14 wines, producing over 450,000 bottles of wine per year. Located in Dorking, the town has direct rail access from London Waterloo and Victoria. For further details, visit www.denbies.co.uk.
