After being featured within the Telegraph’s top 10 state-boarding schools and named “best state-funded secondary school in Surrey” by The Real Schools Guide 2015, Gordon’s has started the new academic year on a high note.
Recent highlights demonstrating some extra-curricular successes include impressive Equestrian performances, particularly in the National School’s Equestrian Association National Championships where Gordon’s rider, Chloe, was placed 5th at Novice Level Dressage; a magnificent achievement considering all those placed above her were affiliated with British Dressage.
Rugby at Gordon’s has also seen some considerable success over the last two years and with this notable progression came the invitation to play at the prestigious National Schools Rugby Festival at St Joseph’s College in October. Gordon’s showed real resilience, and courage up against the top independent schools and the boys have been invited back next year.
Since its introduction to Gordon’s in 2013, LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) qualifications have been a big hit with Sixth form students with over 40 participants, many achieving Level 7 accreditation. In a competitive jobs market a LAMDA qualification can be a decisive accomplishment.
