Her grandfather, David Shepherd CBE, set up the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in 1984 and, using art, raises funds to protect endangered wildlife through his paintings.

Born and bred in Surrey, Emily studied Foundation Art at Falmouth University but it was at Lavender Hill Studios, in London, that she discovered the technical training she had always searched for.

She now travels widely, sketching and painting, and is especially captivated by Africa, also beloved by David Shepherd.

“Emily has, over the years, developed her own very unique style; painting a tiger totally realistically whilst allowing herself to be completely carried away with her distinctive and highly imaginative backgrounds,” David says. “Her work is wildly exciting and she has a great future.”

All profits from sales of Emily’s limited edition prints will be donated to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation to fund wildlife conservation across Africa and Asia.
