Prince Charles dished up pudding to a surprised student when he visited Carshalton Boys Sports College with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.

On Monday November 26, the pair visited the school, which has inspired its pupils to grow and cook their own food, to celebrate the impact healthy eating has had on exam results.

Duringtheir visit, the heir to the throne stepped into the kitchen to learn about the healthy eating options that have replaced burgers and chips, with fresh dishes like salmon with coriander and beef bourguignon being added to the menu.

Headteacher Simon Barber began the project and Carshalton Boys Sports College nowkeeps chickens for eggs and grows a variety of crops from strawberries and lettuce to herbs in their allotment.

A career in catering potentially awaits the Prince, after he was also spotted pulling a pint during a recent visit to Croydon.
