It’s not just the spring flowers that bloom at this time of year, as artists across Surrey escape their studios for the natural gallery of outdoor art exhibitions

AppArt, Godalming

Formed in 2012, AppArt’s spring home is Prior’s Field School, in Godalming. The school theatre hosts the indoor exhibition from Saturday April 1 to Sunday April 16, while the Gertrude Jekyll-inspired gardens take things outdoors for a sculpture trail. Tickets: entry is free

Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden, Ockley

Every year, this garden gets a fresh new look as artists are added and artworks replaced. Opening on Saturday April 1, new work includes a large site-specific piece, pond-based kinetic sculpture and a neon light installation. Tickets: adults, £10; children (4-16), £7

Haslemere Hogs, Haslemere

Hot on the hooves of 2016’s CowParade Surrey, Haslemere Hogs is using local artists and schools to decorate 60 fibreglass hogs that will be displayed throughout the area. Following the ‘Hog Parade’, the artworks will be sold off with the proceeds going to The Mayor of Haslemere’s charities.

Surrey Sculpture Society, Bramley

Surrey Sculpture Society launches into 2017 with the Surrey Hills Sculpture Garden at the Birtley Estate, in Bramley, from Sunday April 30 to Sunday June 4.
