Food storage specialists Miele are offering Surrey Life readers the chance to win a top of the range fridge-freezer as part of the campaign ‘There are 3Rs in Surrey: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’.

The 3Rs campaign was launched in October 2007 by Surrey councils with the aim of making the county a greener place by helping residents to cut down the amount of waste they throw away.

Recent research from WRAP (the government’s Waste and Resources Action Programme) shows that the average UK household throws away a third of all the food they buy every year, which is equal to as much as £400 per household. As an incentive to reduce food waste, you can apply for a magnetic memo pad via the Surrey Waste Info website below.
