We can exclusively reveal when the new Ivy restaurant will open in Guildford’s new Tunsgate Quarter

Here at Surrey Life we like to give you the inside scoop - particularly when it comes to the county’s social scene and anything foodie-related. So, for those of you who have been waiting what seems like an age to find out exactly when the new Ivy restaurant will open in Guildford’s new Tunsgate Quarter, we can now reveal The Ivy Castle View in Guildford will be welcoming its first diners on Wednesday, 4 April.


Situated a stone’s throw away from the historic Guildford castle and the picturesque River Wey, The Ivy Castle View will offer sophisticated yet relaxed all-day dining for local residents,businesses and visitors to enjoy. The brasserie’s menus will be all-encompassing, serving breakfast, elevenses,coffees, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks, cocktails and dinner, ensuring there is something to suit all occasions. Available from dawn until dusk, seven days a week, menus will feature an enticing selection of modern British classics and internationally-inspired dishes.


Spanning across two floors, The Ivy Castle View will feature a first-floor private dining room and bar seating 30 guests, with its own covered, private terrace. The second floor will feature the main restaurant, complete with a striking central bar and a Parisian style terrace, offering guests a tranquil outdoor escape to enjoy during the warmer months.


The critically-acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is consulting on the brasserie’s interiors, with notable features including an onyx bar, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet flooring and leather banquettes – all creating a stylish, yet laid-back environment for all-day dining.
