Archant

This category celebrates the places that never fail to keep the kids happy, without forgetting the parents of course. Here we announce our finalists for 2017...

The Bletchingley Arms, Bletchingley

“We are passionate about people and proud to deliver great food and drink, all day, every day,” says general manager, Darren Hawes. “We offer a great choice of menus to diners of all ages and provide fun Wikki Stix and kids’ colouring for younger diners and a doggie friendly area at our bar. We have a fantastic outside bar along with our funky huts which create a brilliant atmosphere for al fresco dining all year round. We also have a private dining room which offers an exclusive experience to make any occasion special.”

The Duke of Cambridge, Tilford

“We take great pride in being part of our local community, so it’s wonderful that they’ve taken the time to vote for us; we’re absolutely delighted!” says pub manager Katie Dallyn. “We have a real passion for providing a great environment for the whole family to enjoy locally sourced food and drink in, whether the sun is shining over the garden bar and grill while the kids let off steam on the custom built playground, or everyone is cosied up inside by the fireplace with some colouring (adults included!).”

Waters Edge, Horsell Common

“Winning best family dining last year was the icing on the cake for our first year at Heather Farm,” says Aneke. “Hearing the news from the Surrey Life team that we’re in this year’s final for two categories is simply amazing – and a little daunting. It shows how much our team, suppliers, gardeners and our Surrey artisan producers care about what we do and how much we care as a whole team. We are simply walking on air being finalists and can’t wait to attend this wonderful event again.”
